Food Safety

Food Safety is vitally important to businesses that manufacture or prepare food for the public.  Many businesses only realise its true importance after something unfortunate has happened or after an inspection by the environmental health inspectors that has reported an urgent need for improvement.  The Freedom of Information Act resulted in changes that have placed greater responsibilities on local authorities to report on the standards of food premises in their area and the success of the Scores on the Doors Scheme has meant that the public are now well informed on the standards at their local restaurant, takeaway or even hospital. The courses that are available will assist companies in improving their performance by minimising the likelihood of a food poisoning incident occurring.

The following food safety courses are offered in the North-West of England.

CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety

CIEH Level 3 Award in Food Safety

These courses are delivered in a friendly manner by an experience trainer who has three years experience in working for Stockport Environmental Health Department as an inspector of food premises and has trained many organisations on Food Safety.  He holds qualifications in food science and technology and has worked with food retailers and manufacturers including Manor Bakeries and the Co-operative.

If you have any questions about these courses please get in contact.
