National Water Hygiene Course

National Water Hygiene Scheme (Blue Card)

Any person who works on water company assets such as service reservoirs, pumping stations, water treatment works, boreholes and working on the water distribution network including water mains and service pipes must be in possession of a National Water Hygiene Card.

The course takes between three and four hours and is delivered on an “Open Course” basis or “in-house” and the price varies according to location and numbers of people who require training, the maximum number of people per course is 12.  The cards last for three years and a “Cover Note” is issued on successful completion of the course.

The courses comprises a PowerPoint presentation followed by a multiple choice examination with 25 questions.  Trainees will be asked to contribute their experience of working in industry.
